I know your used to BloTV bringing you interviews with your favorite artist however BloTV is so much more than that. We want to service all your entertainment needs, we explore music, fashion and film- being on the topic of films. Lets get stuck in to BloTV's review on Khumba: A Zebra's Tale, we were recently invited to watch the film ahead of its cinema release. In a few words the film was amazing!
I am not usually a fan of animations, I think the last animation I watched was Shrek and to be honest I wasn't even a massive fan of that. Anyway back to reviewing, I instantly connected to Khumba's character.
The film starts off with the birth of Khumba, he looks different to the rest of the Zebra's that his family live with. His difference is what shapes the storyline of the film, he feels inadequate and insecure. Khumba goes in search of happiness to rectify what he believes makes him so different.
Along the journey he meets unexpected characters who add humour and emotion to the film, he firstly meets a surprising duo, a slightly vein Ostrich named "Bradly" voiced by Richard Grant and a feisty and sassy Wildebeest called "Mamma V" voiced by Loretta Devine.
The ending of the film is definitely unexpected, we see a bitter brawl between Khumba and Phango a bitter leopard on the hunt to kill.
BloTV rates this film a must see - funny, engaging and at times saddening. Although the film is an animation it can be watched by people of all ages. Khumba will take you on a journey of sadness and laughter!
The film is out in UK Cinemas on the 11.4.2014 - Tweet us @blotvtweets and let us know what you thought of the film.
