We were invited to the Trey Songz listening party and of course we jumped at the chance to hear tracks off his unreleased album. In our opinion "Trigga" his self entitled and highly anticipated album will be his best album yet.
Although we only heard 9 songs off the album which is set to be a 16 track album I was highly impressed.
The album will definitely take you on a roller coaster of emotions, please be aware a few of the tracks will have you wanting to grab a tissue from crying out all your sadness. The depth and range of his vocals on these songs is incredible, you can hear the pain he went through in the situation. The stories of the songs unravel and we find out how he handles and goes throughs different situations in his relationships.
As you go through the roller coaster of the "Trigga" album just before the massive dip on the journey we hear more of the fun, upbeat and playful side of Trey Songz. Music that gets you wanting to dance and head out with your friends to a club. It was at this point when I decided that in July when the album is out I must download it. As the Dj mixed and he preformed each song my shoulders moved from side to side followed by a little two step. Although if I was at home or at a club I would have really shook it all out, the dances you do when nobodies watching.
As we reached the end of the ride, Trigga gets more intense, we are reminded Songz is his name and he invented Sex. Smartphones his latest release, which he previewed the video for grabbed all our attention. The video shows how a smartphone can catch out a cheating man, accidentally calling your girlfriend whilst entertaining your fling.
I had an amazing time at the Trigga Listening Party and myself and the girls will be downloading the album once it is officially released.
If you love RnB and want an album which is not only going to help you get through a break up, but also get you ready for a great night out at the club then I would advise you to grab the album also!
